Note: The scenario #2 where there is already an existing Windows 10 Operating System. I am confused, to say the least how this is supposed to work? I want to perform a restore of my entire backup to the Hard drive. I don’t understand why does it need to see the OS in the first place? but somehow Universal Restore is not seeing the OS. I can browse the Hard drive folder and see the Windows folder. I created a VM with similar virtual hardware spec as my laptop. I wanted to test the restore process so I am not surprised when I actually need to restore from a backup. I installed it on my Laptop and Performed a Full Backup. I just purchased Acronis True Image 2017 with 2yrs subscription. I really hope someone will present me with a solution. I have attached a screenshot of the Acronis Universal Restore. I would appreciate any guidance you may provide. I am now not sure if my laptop hard drive fails and If I use the Restore process of Acronis if it is going to work.

I am not even why does it need to see the OS? then It showed on the screen "No OS" found. I booted my VM with the Universal Restore boot media, it booted fine.
